A New Chapter

Thanks for checking out our website! We are very excited that you are interested in being a part of the Texico Harvester. As you may know, the Texico Harvester was started in 2009 by Rev. Lawrence Thompson, who served as the editor until he retired in 2017. Rev. Daniel Lankford picked up the torch and continued editing the Texico Harvester. In 2019, Dana and I were asked to be the new editors, and we are honored to serve in this capacity. We are thankful for the vision, passion, and hard work of Bro. Thompson and Bro. Lankford as well as all of those involved in the success of the Harvester. We are excited to see the Texico Harvester continue to grow and succeed as we enter this new chapter.

The Texico Harvester, at its core, will continue to operate in the same manner as before. It will continue to be a bi-monthly, paper publication received by mail. With that though, we have created a website, www.texicoharvester.com as well as a Facebook page, @texicodistrictharvester to further enhance the subscriber’s experience. Not only will that allow us to interact more with readers by creating polls and asking questions where answers will be featured in the Texico Harvester, but it will also allow us to enhance the information provided to the subscriber. For example, if the featured article of a given issue is on a particular camp or event, within the pages of the Texico Harvester, we are limited to the number of pictures or words that we use; however, with the addition of a QR code on the page, we will drive subscribers to a page where they can view more pictures and even watch videos. This in no way will remove content from the magazine, but it will allow readers to receive more information if they wish to take advantage of it.

We intend for our first issue as editors to be the January/February 2020 issue, which will be sent out before January 1, 2020. The magazine will continue to be sent out no later than the first day of every odd numbered month. As has been the practice, we will offer two types of subscriptions: individual and bulk. The prices still remain very low, with individual subscriptions costing $15.00 per year and bulk copies costing $1.50 per copy per issue. Statements can be sent by mail, e-mail, or both.

We would very much appreciate your support of the Texico Harvester as we move forward. There are a number of ways that you can contact us regarding your subscriptions. You can click on the subscriptions button at the top of this page and fill out the form. You can also e-mail us at texicoharvester@live.com or call or text (575) 693-2637.

We are also looking for contributors to help us with pictures and articles in upcoming issues of the Texico Harvester. If you, or someone you know, is a photographer or a writer, feel free to contact us either through the website, Facebook, or by e-mail. Please include your pastor’s name and phone number in the message as we will need to contact them for permission.

We are grateful for your support of the Texico Harvester, and if you have any questions, information, or suggestions, we would love to hear them!

Thanks and God bless,

Dan Thompson
